Here are five suggestions to maintain your motivation especially when you are battling the challenges of quitting smoking.
1. Get involved with other smokers who want to quit. Find a support group in your neighborhood or on the Internet. You can find forums and discussion boards that help smokers to quit. Answer questions as posted in forums. Helping others keeps you motivated to stop smoking yourself.2. Talk about quitting with someone you trust such as friends and family. This way you are accountable for your decision to quit smoking. They can also support you and cheer you up in times of failure.
3. Make a chart of your progress and set small goals. In times of discouragement, look at your progress chart. See how far you’ve come and how much closer you are toward your goal.
4. Reward yourself when you reach a goal. Go out for an evening. Buy yourself a new outfit.
5. Keep yourself busy and take time to have fun. Don’t let your mind and body dwell on the after effects of quitting smoking.
Don’t just think about giving up smoking, start now! Most smokers postpone their plan to quit.

I suggest electronic cigarettes, they are the only thing that worked for me while quitting, and ive tryed nicorette and the patch before.
I gave up smoking 3 months ago and I can say that the benefits are huge. I was an athsmatic. I say ‘was’ as since I have stopped smoking I have not needed to use my inhaler once! It is an amazing transformation. I take medication for high blood pressure as well. I have an appointment with the doctor in a few weeks and will be very intererested to see if it is lower since I stopped smoking.
Do whatever you need to do to stop smoking! After a few weeks you will feel like a different person!
Simone is an excellent example of what quitting can do for you. It’s personal stories like these that are the best motivation! Thanks for sharing!
Talking with friends and family is very important when you want to quit smoking. My best friend who wanted to quit smoking didin’t tell his wife about it. Ten days after quitting, he was nervous and his wife didn’t know why. Guess what she told him: “Here take a cigarette, it will help you to relax…”
