Blogging discrimination, racism, stereotyping, & boycotting

Blog April 26th, 2008

Salam & hello to all my dearest reader, today I would like to discuss one topic with you. It is about discrimination, racism, and stereotyping other person which is different in term of skin colour, type of race, sex gender, sex orientation, religion, favourite music and political principle. I know this issues has been discussed but I would like to discuss about that issues that happen in our blogosphere. Your suggestion and opinion is always welcomed.

Type of race
In our local blogospehere scenes we have three main races that currently active in blogging which is Malay, Chinese and Indian. From my observation currently the biggest blogging community was a Chinese blogger. So did you think this situation has happened or currently happen? This is just an example.

Oh, Malays blog are the laziest one, they just know how to copy and paste any article. This is my first and last visit!

Sex gender
From my observation, Women are the most gender that involved in blogging because they love to write a diary but in order to align with the technology era the use of blogging is more preferable. So did you think this situation has happened or currently happen? This is just an example.

Aiya, ladies only know how to rant and express their feeling in her blog. We want information not that craps la!

Sex orientation
Nowdays we have to admit that we have few sex orientation which is straight, bisexual, homesexual, lesbian and anything else? So did you think this situation has happened or currently happen? This is just an example.

Huhu, gays blog its weird. Pinky and colourful always ask reader about the measurement. Erk..

Religion
In Malaysia blogging field, we have Muslim blogger, Buddhist, Hindu, Christian and etc.
So did you think this situation has happened or currently happen? This is just an example.

Hey, Mr. XXXX why you read Mr. ZZZZ’s blog? Did you know he is a Muslim, Buddhist, Hindu, Christian and etc.?

Favourite music
Talking about entertainment there are many types of music that we have such as metal, indie, rock steady, rhythm and blues, hip hop and contemporary nasyid and so on. So did you think this situation has happened or currently happen? This is just an example.

Hoi mainstream follower please go to hell! &*&^&^$%#33%#$#2 rulez!

Political principle
After the General Election 2008 Pilihan Raya Umum, we has been exposed and covered many stories by the media about blog and people tend to accept that blog is a part of communication to get news, opinion and other story without any control or biases. So did you think this situation has happened or currently happen? This is just an example.

Hey, ask your friend and your friends ask their friends too and ask their friend’s friend and friend friend’s friend to come to Syamsulariff dot com. He is die hard supporter of (*&&^&%$ party. We should ban him and drop hundred of spam. Lai lai.

Actually I do not want to raise any sensitive issue. Please read with your rational and think wisely. I like the healthy blogging community that some of the differences that I mentioned above is does not matter. We got the Information and let it spread around the world freely without any discrimination. So what do you think?

* Did you know that my terrible English writing also has been one of the reasons why some people or reader boycotted my blog, Syamsulariff dot com you sucks! That is why I put the message at the top and bottom. I’m blogging to improve my English. Thanks

syam…
blogosphere is too difficult to control. there is not only bloggers do comments, there lost non-bloggers put their comments. It’s impossible too avoid such comments.People are variety, so it goes to their attitudes. all depend on person’s brain. Shitty brainy will write shitty comment, there goes vice versa

“Aiya, ladies only know how to rant and express their feeling in her blog. We want information not that craps la!”

I don’t get this post. At first I thought you would be discussion the issues of sexism and what not. But isn’t the above statement itself is a wee bit sexist?

So are you condoning sexism?

Try this, next time you go blog hopping, when you see the
pinkish and colorful blogs always asking readers for their measurements, stop reading and click on the Next Blog tab.

To me, there’s no such thing as malay, chinese or indian bloggers when it comes to determining good bloggers. that’s why syam, I’m a little surprise when you did the entry ‘5 Chinese Online Money Maker’.

It’s actually pretty straight forward to me, either a good one or a lazy one; one that writes good entries or just another blogger does the copy-pasting.

Malay, chinese or indian, there’s really not much of a difference. I think, in the Internet, race is not really too important.

Hi Syam..aka Vangardx (No Clue what is Vangardx until today??) :D

First of all, this post entry is quite confuse when considering blogging now is the way people sharing taught, information anything through the Net with FREEDOM heart.I agree with Jannah Raffali where she don’t get point on your post that true then when I see girls of Malaysian actually more open when posting her feeling online about her daily routine such as for her BF, Fiance, Husband or anyone. How dare you call this CRAP!!.You know Sham Blog exist because of this basic principle.

The same thing with hongkiat, I agree race is not really too important as long the blog suit with visitor need…We bloggers just supply to them.Lastly for vangardx.net/blog or syamsullariff.com this is hard talk to discuss and surely bring pro and contra opinion for blog with not have specific niche discussion or give confuse example.Bad comment is probably expected.LOL.
