Posted January 26th, 2008 in Uncategorized by vangardx |

Salam & hello to all my dearest reader, did you know that wordpress being most popular CMS that used by blogger in top 100 technorati list? With its flexibility and power, WordPress can be customized into a full fledged CMS (Content Management System) and many people are already doing just that.

Nuffnang and Advertlets are using wordpress cms for their website. Im not sure whether its true or not but i get this url when viewing their background image.

..wp-content/themes/nuffnang2.0/img/BodychrstBg.jpg
..wp-content/themes/advertlets_1.0/img/content-containerBg.jpg

By the way, am i allowed to display those url?

Ok, move on to another company which is Grab My Ads and Gokita. Grabmyads using a default kubrick theme while Gokita use Cutline by Chris Pearson. Both are based on wordpress.

Last but not least, you also can view the style.css if you want some design inspiration. I know some of you already know about this but its new for me ok. :D

Everyone uses WP for blog..because it’s simple to maintain..
tapi…there are bugs to any open source and it’s NOT CMS. CMS is like JOOMLA,MAMBO,postNuke, …don’t get the facts wrong…

PS: CMS like Joomla has internal blog and forum built in, this is why it is called CONTENT MANAGED SYSTEM!

oh azrin, nice info. I thought that anything that manage the content is CMS. Even wp do manage the content, although not really comprehensive like joomla or drupal. I think most of the company love to use wp as the it is an open source (no need to spend money for license), easy to integrate, semantic, and more.

  9. Hmmmm….. never thought that before. May i repost it to my blog?. Thanks for sharing ^_^.
