Biffy Clyro will give fans an intimate look at the making of their 2021 album, The myth of happiness foreverwith their new documentary, Cultural sons of Scotland.
The film follows the band as they prepare to work on their ninth album at Ayrshire Farm amid a pandemic.
“It’s in the same part of the world where I wrote my very first song that we’re recording this record, and there’s something really pure about that,” says frontman Simon Neil, while drummer Ben Johnston agrees: “We don’t need all the bells and whistles for us to be fulfilled and happy, we just need the three of us to make music together and have that vibe in a room – and it is what makes our heart beat.
“Everyone should join a band,” continues bassist James Johnston. “If you’re lucky enough to go and join a band with your siblings, or people you consider a sibling, those are probably the best years you’ll have in your life.”
The film will be released on Amazon Prime Video and Music Unlimited on February 25. Check out the trailer below.
