Microsoft Power Platform helps users analyze data, automate processes, and build solutions that can digitally transform their business. To help users get the most out of the Power Platform, Microsoft continues to roll out new updates twice a year in the form of Release Wave 1 and Release Wave 2. And with just a few months left for the full rollout of 2021 Release Wave 2 (October 2021 – March 2022), let’s take a look back at some of these updates released by Microsoft.
1. Power Platform security framework updates
Traditionally, users were tightly associated with the business unit of a Power Platform environment, i.e. you had to choose which business unit a user belongs to. And a user can only belong to one business unit. In addition, records owned by a user were automatically part of the BU to which the user belonged. With the latest updates to the Power Platform 2021 release part 2, it is now possible to disassociate the business unit from the record owner. Get a detailed guide of the same in this blog.
2. Dataverse Search in Dynamics 365 CRM
By renaming Relevance Search from the previous version, Dataverse Search provides fast, comprehensive search results across multiple tables in a single list, sorted by relevance. With Dataverse search, you can quickly find what you’re looking for. You can also use simple Boolean operators to create search queries.
