Formula E successfully adds twelfth team to 2023 entry list


ABT Sportsline has announced a return to Formula E for the 2023 season. The German manufacturer has decided to return to the sport with the introduction of Gen3 cars.

ABT Sportsline is a household name for Formula E fans, as the ABT team has been on the grid for its first seven seasons. The very first FE race was won by the team in Beijing in 2014 and in 2017 the title was won by Lucas di Grassi. Moreover, ABT also had a partnership with Audi between 2017 and 2021.

Formula E in 2023

This year, ABT is completely out of Formula E, but not for long. In fact, the team has announced that it will return to the sport in 2023 when Gen3 cars are introduced. ABT’s management speaks THE PRESS RELEASE on the fact that they are looking for a competitive partner to work with.

ABT is the twelfth team that has already committed to the new generation of FE cars. Major brands such as Jaguar, Porsche, Maserati and Nissan have previously announced their participation in the new electric project.
