Liverpool Rockers Mysteries just headlined the 7th Street Entry in Minneapolis on Monday, May 9…on tour in support of their debut album Unwinding (Fiction Files).
from St. Paul Rigby opened the show. The relatively new four-piece band (formed during the pandemic in 2019) includes Fay Dunkel on guitars, Kean Wilwerding on drums, Maude Lorr on bass/vocals, and Hana Mahli on additional bass and vocals. They played almost everything from their new album, We die…but adding an unreleased song, which they wrote to their setlist as “Hammer!”
If you are a fan of Kill in bikini or any 90s riot grrl band (like us), you’ll find a lot to like about RiGBY.
Rigby’s debut album, We dieis out now.
British alternative rock band Mysteries took the stage, playing their entire debut Unwinding (Fiction Files).
Just to give you a little insight, the band were barely out of their teens when they were selected as one of Amazon Music UK’s Ones To Watch 2022. Royal blood, The Amazons and girls of the seaas well as headlining the BBC Introducing Stage at Reading and Leeds.
You started hearing about the band from all the major UK press including BBC Radio One, NME, Independent, Metro, MOJO etc.
The dance floor at 7th Street Entry was filled with British music fans, who were eager to hear about the latest band from England to make a splash. And the band didn’t disappoint as they launched into “The Bad Thing,” as fans clapped and cheered.
The band is still very new and, this being their very first visit to America, I’m sure the band will want to come back when they release a second album.
The Mysterines’ first album Unwinding is now available on Fiction Records.
